Just a little video

I would have posted this on Instagram (that's why it's only like 15 seconds long) but Instagram doesn't let me post videos anymore so here you go.

(It's basically just a blanket that was clinging with static to our blue bathroom carpet which is what my dad is using to attract the tassels and make them dance lol) Also, I hope you appreciate my hilariously ridiculous and overdramatic music. It's just generic music on Youtube.

Tuesday Video Challenge No. 13 - I'll Make a Man Out of You

Who doesn't love this song? When I was in senior year we were watching a movie in my Calc. class and there was a quieter part. We could hear the class next to us watching a movie or listening to music and we realized they were listening to this song and we all started singing it. It was so cool! For four minutes I thought I was in High School Musical!

And while I was searching for a good video I found this video below which, I thought, is also worth showing because it's fuckin' awesome!

Tuesday Video Challenge No. 11 - Ours by Taylor Swift

I was never a huge fan of this song but, I think, watching this video has given it a whole new meaning and I really love it. I love the video. It tells the story perfectly. And it's made really fall in love with the song.

Tuesday Video Challenge No. 10 - Sweet Dreams by Emily Browning

I love the Eurythmics doing this, of course (I believe that's the original, right?) but I adore Emily Browning's voice. And I thought the video was interesting. So here you go. And you should probably see Sucker Punch while you're at it (the movie that this is from) as it's pretty good. Not the best but worth seeing at least once.

The New Lizzie Bennet Diaries

I absolutely love Jane. She reminds me of Luna because of her wide-eyed sweetness but I really like her. She's so sweet!

Lizzie Bennet's Diary and Assassin's Creed

A very odd title for sure, but two things I want to talk about. The first, and not as important, is that I'm watching Hank Green play Assassin's Creed Brotherhood on YouTube. I've never been a huge gamer person but watching Hank Play Assassin's Creed is making it actually seem awfully interesting. I think I'd like to play it if I had a relatively cheap way of doing so. Like, if I found it in a bin for, say, $10 I'd probably buy it and play it. So, yeah, there's that...

But what I'm really excited to talk about is The Lizzie Bennet Diaries (which, coincidentally, also relates to Hank Green). LBD is a new project that Hank is doing - a modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice in vlog form from Elizabeth's point of view. There have been four videos released so far and a new one is set to be released tomorrow (there's new ones on Monday and Thursday). I'm really excited. But let me just quickly throw in the first four videos here. They're not long and so worth watching.

So there's that...ahaha. I feel kind of strange having just put in four videos right in a row, but whatevs. And I'm really excited for the new video tomorrow. I get an email when a new video is posted. I am much too obsessed.

Please watch them, though, even if you haven't read the book. I haven't read the book (in full) and, as I'm sure you're beginning to understand, I love them.

But, to tell you the truth, that's really all I wanted to talk about.

Another Charlie (well, Chameleon Circuit) video. I was sad this song wasn't on their new album, Still Got Legs. But oh well, I can listen to it on YouTube whenever, I suppose.

I'm not sure why I like this song so much. Maybe because it sounds more Doctor Who-ish, if that makes sense. I don't know. I like it. So yeah...

Okay, so this isn't exactly an official video. It's actually the band recording the song so it does sound a little different from the final version but it's still great.

Learning to juggle

I've wanted to learn to juggle for a while now and I've had this set of juggling balls I bought from Target for months now, maybe a year. There was a little instruction card in there but it wasn't that helpful. It didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. I kind of thought I could just keep at it and figure it out and maybe get some help watching this Challenge Charlie video. Well I was wrong, obviously.
Yesterday morning around 3:00 am I looked up how to juggle well I've only just started with one ball so I won't post a video about it but I may do a sort of chronicle over a few days like Charlie did.
I'm just really excited about it and wanted to tell someone.
I'm off to practice.

I can play Hedwig's Theme on the ocarina

I bought an ocarina after playing Zelda: Ocarina of Time because I wanted to play the songs from the game. But now I've done that and I'm kind of bored of it. So I'm trying to find some free sheet music of popular songs (non-public domain) so that I can play them. It's a lot harder than you'd think. Apparently you can't download sheet music of a copyrighted song, which is, of course, all of them. So, I'm not having a good time right now. But, for now, I shall entertain you with a video of myself playing Hedwig's Theme from Harry Potter.

And did I tell you that I started a vlog. It's not good by any definition of the word but whatever. I'm excited to do it and that's all that matters yeah? Here's the link: Nifty Elishings (that's the title - there's a story behind it which I will tell here in a moment).
Yeah so please don't judge me, they're probably going to be really bad and I'll probably quit within a month, if I last that long, even.

But, anyway, here's the story behind the title. Elishings, first of all, isn't a real word. I googled up blog name generators and there was one (I'm sorry, I don't remember what it was called) that spat out words that didn't exist but sounded plausible. Elishings was one of the first words I got and I quite liked it (obviously). But it just didn't sound like a title to me, so I figured I had to describe the elishings, so I ended up with nifty (which is one of my favorite words). And that's why my vlog is called Nifty Elishings. It's quite a boring story really.

That's all I wanted to say for the moment. I will talk to you again soon once something interesting happens inside my head.

EDIT: I just watched that video back on my blog page and I realized that it cut off the last two seconds. Ugh! Sorry.
